The Blood Drive was a great success! Between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., FOURTEEN units of blood were collected! The Vampires of the Bloodmobile were very pleased!
The Vampires are Coming to St. John’s!!
In a little more than 30 days it will be Halloween, and that’s a spooky time of the year...
But seriously, the vampires that are coming are from NCMC, and they are coming for a Blood Drive. They will be here on Saturday, October 30 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the church parking lot.
They need at least 15 people to sign up to give blood, but I hope we can get many more people to give blood to help the blood bank at the hospital.
Invite your friends, neighbors, and relatives to stop by and help support this worthy cause.
Did You Know…
95% of Americans will need a blood transfusion by age 72.
A single blood donation may save up to three lives.
There is NO risk of contracting a disease from donating blood...a new, sterile
needle and bag are used for every donor.
Blood donations are needed from all blood types for trauma, surgery, and
cancer patients in our community.
There are many more reasons to give blood. Ruth Firestien will have a sign up sheet with the time on it so you can pick the time that will be most convenient for you. If you miss the sheet at church PLEASE call Ruth at 686-2671 to make an appointment.
Donors are asked to eat before donating, bring a picture, feel well and healthy, weigh at least 110 pounds, be at least 18 years old, or 17 with a parent’s
signature.
The donation takes 5-15 minutes with refreshments offered afterward.
